Leadership is Tough Decisions Made For The Best

Leadership is tough. Leaders often have to make unpopular decisions; and too many ‘followers’ like Popular Leaders; the ones who please the crowd; and do what the crowd wants rather than what NEEDS to be done; That why it’s tough.

If you please the crowd, you meet their need for immediate gratification – and yet if that decision ends up being BAD longterm; the people will not say “well we wanted the short term solution!” — nope; They’ll call you a bad leader.

Leadership is tough.

When you make the unpopular decision; You loose followers; People say you don’t know what the hell you doing; Should your plan fail due to lack of support; People won’t say well not enough people supported …. They’ll say … He/She is a bad leader.

Leadership … is tough.

That is why in all my years of training in the realm of business, on the topic of Leadership, I always mention the role of followers as well; because it truly is the key; a good leader needs good followers; That is what makes the Tough job of leadership … easier.

And .. it sets up those followers to become great leaders in the future; as they too will understand the tough decisions that need to be made; and will realize the importance of the support needed to accomplish any goal.

(also related) – Another Scam We Warned You About

I just updated the description a few moments ago on my video; when news broke a few years back that the founder was arrested.  Looks like it took them a few to finally charge them all. This is how it goes, with scams. Just as we warned you about Bitconnect, and how it would end like Zeek Rewards – we were right about OneCoin.  We were right about Kannaway as well. Notice you never hear anything about that company, that was simply trying to ‘capitalize’ on ignorance. Overpriced ‘products’ are always going to be challenging for people to sell, through the MLM model.

Check out this Old Content, with a Timeless Message – from when ‘first’ started to go down.

“Might” work on a nice screen cap for this video as well. There is always ‘quite a bit to do’ when you’re going at this ‘the right way’. By that, I mean avoiding all the automation that is making MLM suck again. That ‘personal touch’ will never get old, in this line of work.

Personally, people didn’t appreciate this video, and I felt it.

They let me know, that they didn’t like my “told you so” attitude, in one way or another.  It’s fine – as I stated in a post on facebook, those aren’t the type of folks I can lead…

Quick ‘text’ from that facebook rant, on people falling out with me, over

In #DaleCarnegie’s book, #HowToWinFriendsAndInfluencePeople (recommended reading for anyone working in Leadership Positions/Roles etc…) — ONE of the main ‘how to’s’ revolves around … “Never telling People They Are Wrong” — Because, people do not like to be told, when they are wrong; they DISLIKE people who tell them when they are wrong;

(from this slide show of How to Win Friends & Influence People)

………. Which feeds into why People are so Easily “Influenced” By all the WRONG people; those folks simply never point out what they are doing wrong, and they “like them” and allow those folks to shape them; (while usually, turning Away from those who point out wrong, and also ignoring the Advice they give that ‘would’ help them — they Choose not to listen) — It’s one of the ‘rules’ I never liked nor agreed with.

I figure, if the people I’m leading do not want to be “Coached” and Mentored; which often Involves pointing out flaws, ‘so that you can do better, be better, get better results….’ – then those are the people ‘for me’ …. and if anybody fell out with me, over telling them #OneCoin is a Scam; honestly – that says more about them, than ‘they’ can ever say about me. … that’s how I see it.

Just in case you’ve ‘never read it’, here is a ‘summary video’ on Dale Carnegie’s book, How to Win Friends & Influence People

Almost every other ‘how to’ in this book, I adhere to in my leadership to this day. I’m often lifting up those who contribute to the team. It is almost ‘rare’ for them to get praised that often. Sometimes it turns people away simply because they ‘think’ I am up to something. Though, not as quickly as telling people something they ‘love’, like or Bitconnect, isn’t what ‘they’ think it is.

I say, look to the reputation of those you follow. If you want to follow us, read this blog; watch the youtube videos. Our message has been consistent. We want to make sure you don’t get taken advantage of; so we can BUILD a team that looks out for one another in a pool filled with sharks.

Getting Organized Comes First: Team Building Series

Let’s talk about getting organized.

Order Matters, especially in business. Even more especially when it comes to Team Building.

This is one of the reasons that I found network marketing to be so attractive. Through network marketing people who may have NO business background, can learn the importance of organization. Getting Organized is the first step to creating success. Individual success often stems from GROUP Success. So if you want to get to those goals you’ve set for your self, you may want to think seriously about how well you are fitting in with others.

In our Team Building Series you will find other ‘Teamwork related Articles’ such as :

You’ll also find me speaking about the importance of Getting organized in Session #5 of our TNG Classes : a special short series that is all about team building as well.

You can check out the Other Sessions as well.

Once again, all of these videos are part of speaking to the overall mission of TopnetworkersGroup.

Getting Organized Comes First.

Spending a lot of time preaching about respecting networks, we are doing even more to ensure that the people who work with this team are able to safeguard their teams from networkers who lack basic respect. Crossline recruiting is a chaotic aspect of our industry that happens all too often. Lazy networkers feel that rather than build teams of their own, they can just target other people’s teams. Most of the time they seek out the ones who are struggling and tell them that, their ‘company’ is better than the one they are with right now.  They tell them that their sponsor or upline is not able to help them as much as they can. It’s all the usual promises of greener grass on other sides of the fence. It’s divisional, and doesn’t help make our industry better.

This is why Getting Organized Includes Organization Ideas – what are the things WE as an organization agree on?

What do WE stand for?

What makes US different from other organizations within this industry?

Those are the questions we seek to answer through all of the training you’ll find Inside the 1mlmsystem (to rule them all).

We have to ‘come together’ and form Voltron.

That’s our message to the industry. We are too fragmented right now. With so many companies constantly popping up, the only way for us to have any real power and any real stability is to form a team. We have to form an ‘organization’ that does have order. We have to respect the network. The natural order that takes place within a network marketing ‘organization’. Those who produce and ‘earn’ leadership get respected. That respect is due, it is deserved, and we should seek to uphold that with any of our efforts.  At the same time, those who earn leadership must never let it go to their heads. It’s important to be leaders, and not Misleaders.

When the ideas of the leaders are on the same page, that is an organization to watch out for. Great things will come about every single time.

When the leaders have different ideas – that’s going to be a Stagnant Organization that does not progress.

What kind of organization will you build today?

getting organized matters

What Being A Leader In Network Marketing Is Really Like

Want to know what being a leader in Network Marketing is really like?

There’s a pretty awesome scene in Marvel’s Jessica Jones that really in my mind, sums up what it’s like, being a leader in network marketing or any other area of life. I’m actually a big fan of Marvel. I didn’t really read the comics as a kid but I did watch the Cartoons. Their story lines were always intriguing to me. Admittedly, Jessica Jones is not a ‘title’ I was too familiar with, like so many people out there. But I thoroughly enjoyed the series on Netflix.

That being said, if you have NOT seen Jessica Jones – and plan on seeing it, I will try to keep this ‘as spoiler free’ as possible; but there ‘may’ be Some spoilers about this part of the show. Because, I really do want to explain what being a leader feels like – and there really in my mind is No better way than this….

After an attempt to stop “the bad guy” from doing any more harm to others, Jessica Jones, her friend Trish Walker, and a ‘cop’ named Simpson – are all licking their wounds AFTER the attempt goes south. The bad guy gets away … and Trish, comes over to Jessica, and starts talking …

Excuse my language but, when Jessica turns to Trish and says that …. “I can’t do that thing where I make you feel better. I don’t know how” … I fucking loved it!

That’s it right there folks.

That’s what being a leader in network marketing is really like.

People come to you with THEIR problems, as if YOU do not have problems; and then they expect YOU to make THEM feel better………

It’s not our job though!

Being a leader in network marketing –  for some odd reason, comes with the expectation that YOU are a super hero. That’s sorta what I like most about Jessica Jones. she is sort of a departure from most ‘super heroes’, like Captain America or Luke Cage who have ‘super strength’ – and are ‘super-human’ … she seems to be a bit more relate-able to the average human being. She seems to second guess and doubt her abilities. She doesn’t seem to have full control over all of her abilities because right when she was getting ready to USE them for the good of mankind, she ran into Killgrave – or, perhaps … Killgrave ran into her …

It’s her driving motivation to stop Killgrave in this show – because of all the damage he did to her. She wants to stop him from derailing others.

But that doesn’t mean she’s figured out how …

In network marketing, most leaders will come up against villains. You’ll meet people along the way who just want to control you and your ‘powers’ (skills, talents) for their own self centered interests. They have no real desire to help you do, what you are here to do.  So while you’re fighting battles against folks like that, you come to realize that this same kind of person is attacking others as well.

So, you all decide to go after Killgrave – to stop him; and along the way you take more hits; and yet, folks come to you and make the fight even harder – they expect you to make them feel better, and don’t stop to realize that perhaps you could use some upliftment too.

Early in my Career, one of my uplines was talking about the responsibility that comes with being an upline.

We all want the money that comes from building a big organization but far too often, we end up having to be psychologists for other people and their problems.

While being a leader in network marketing can be rewarding, we don’t always have a shoulder to lean on; or to tell about the challenges we are facing.

So, most leaders train “when you’re down, go up; when you’re up, go down” – Being a leader means you can’t always tell your team that you’re feeling down; or else they’ll give up for sure. Imagine if Jessica turns to Trish in this moment and says “yea… I feel pretty useless too” …….

Imagine what she’s experiencing in that moment; Super powers and all, and this Killgrave dude KEEPS besting her every time …

But, she can’t really Tell that to anyone.

This is really what being a leader is like – in so many areas; and it’s why leaders need other Leaders who they can talk to.

That’s what I like about her developing relationship with Luke Cage – someone else who she can ‘relate to’ and share some of these troubles with; a shoulder ..

In spite of the challenges that come from being a leader – you should still strive to be one anyways.

Not for what you’ll ‘get’ from it; but for what you’ll become, on your way to it.

And if by chance, you’ve found yourself following the wrong leaders – today is a new day.

You can choose to be the kind of leader you wished you’d had.

Because it’s worth it.

You’ll beat the Killgraves of the world one day, and when you do … You can smile.

being a leader is worth it

David Wood Doing What Leaders Must Do

Quick Shout Out to David Wood – That had to be tough; losing his right hand man, and yet still having a movement to lead. No, I am not part of Empower Network – but I’m on the mailing list. This is just a shout out, an acknowledgement to LEADERS who have to do what they have to do; regardless of who comes with them. EN hit a dip in Mo; Lots of their Leaders have left. But David Wood responded with new emails going out to the list; New calls; Gonna be honest, I didn’t even look at the recordings – nor did I read most of the emails – but I recognize the Effort of a Leader.

I mean, that had to be tough when Dave’s partner quit; They set out to do something; ‘together’ – and one of them had to go a different way. But, like a real leader, David Wood has remained with the ship; like a real captain – The ship will sink or swim; with him on board.

I respect that.

Since launching the 1mlmsystem in 2012, I too have been confronted with these kinds of decisions. Even before we launched, my co-founder was focused on programs over the team; In the past 2 years I’ve had several people sign up with me, claim they understand the vision; and once again were more about the programs; than the team.

In spite of me saying, over and over and over “it’s about the team, not the company” – or “loyalty to team over company” – person after person has continued to Place Company; over Team. Today, I ran into an awesome Video/Sermon from Bishop T.D. Jakes – his stuff seemingly is always on time for me.

He spoke on many things, namely leadership and the kinds of things leaders deal with. Take a few moments and listen to it here :: Leadership: T.D. Jakes On Doing Something New – Whenever we are doing something new; we will be met with challenges; like the very ones I’ve faced over the past 2 years. We will have people on our teams who are not there for the same reasons we are there. It is all part of the process – and as a leader we MUST embrace that. We must realize that leadership involves conflict – it involves moments where you must say things that others may not like. I like what Bishop T.D. Jakes says here; We must build and battle.

Leading a 5th Wave Organization is New – It’s not something other people even understand for the most part. So the challenges we’ve faced; I’ve expected them; There will be more around the corner as we move forward. I say … BRING THEM ON!

In 2015, I am not playing games – I’m ready to battle; while I continue to build!

I did Fire a Warning Shot – Some of you have already found out; Al King is not playing games in 2015. TNG is the way – those who are working with the team, but are not FOLLOWING the directions are always more than allowed to do as they would like to do. In fact, that’s always what I say.

I lead leaders.

Leaders are ok with following other Leaders though…. (David Sharp was absolutely following David Wood; which you’d know had you watched my video “Did David Sharpe Steal EmpowerNetwork From TopNetworkersGroup?“) –

If a person cannot follow a leader; they are not ready for TNG.

As We teach – leaders are followers first!  Business Partnerships include one leader and one follower. The follower must learn how to lead from the leader. This is not up for debate. This is how things go….

Just as David Wood needs ‘leaders’ to follow his lead to make EN Successful, TNG also needs leaders to follow, to make our movement a success.

When I first set up the one mlm system; a lady named Jackie signed up early. She praised me, the system, the calls – told me about her history – how she joined too many programs in the past; was all over the place; never really followed through; and that now She was ready ……… then about a month later she ran into Ocean Avenue.

In 30 days she went from Loving the One MLM System to declaring that O.A. was the truth; and she would be focused on that; b/c the One MLM System was ‘too much” – So ……. I tested her to see if she was learning; asked her to break down the recruiting process; She did not know step One.

Rather than admit she was lazy; and was not learning – she blamed the system.

I called her on it; She got mad; and called me Names.

This comes with leadership though; this is what David Wood has experienced; David Sharpe too; This is the message T.D. Jakes had for me; and other leaders – that not everyone is with us for the same reasons; that we must be ready for conflict – to even be attacked and insulted by the very ones we are seeking to help.

—————— Sadly people are often immature in MLM; because the world we live in does not prepare people for MLM; We live in a society that creates immature people:  this is why our politicians are so childish; This is why so many marriages end in divorce; This is why we can’t end racism; We are spinning on a ball full of Childish people; who point fingers and blame ———–

Well none of that will be tolerated in 2015 with TNG.

If you get on the ship; Decide NOT to follow what we teach; You’re welcome to get off the Ship; Just keep your mouth closed about how The Ship doesn’t work. It works. It works for those who DO 100% of what they are asked to do.

MOST people do 1% … or 5% …. or 10%

That won’t work here.

I will be following David Wood’s lead – sending out a bunch of new emails; We already have redesigned the homepage for the One MLM System; a new homepage is coming for TopNetworkersGroup; I will continue to do what Bishop T.D. Jakes suggested in his sermon on leadership; I will build with one hand; and battle with the other.
