The MLM Industry Is Unstable: My Thoughts

The MLM Industry Is Unstable: these are My Thoughts

If you’re leading the way, setting an example for your team and prospecting – you’re going to come across this objection pretty often. Here are my thoughts on that very valid ‘reason/excuse’ that people use to stay away From the MLM Industry.

Topnetworkersgroup is seeking to find people who want to work together to Bring stability to the MLM industry. In order to do that, some simple and yet, difficult principles need to be enforced. I’m talking about principles like loyalty and commitment.

I’m looking for people who want to be part of Our movement; rather than seek to start their ‘own’ movement. The very fact that so many people are starting their ‘own movements’ is creating much of the instability in the MLM industry.

Also, the sheer number of companies that are starting up due to the internet, and improving technology – the MLM Industry becomes more and more Unstable. Each mlm company ends up creating competition for the others; regardless of the “Overall Industry” each specific MLM taps into …

However, whenever a NEW MLM taps into an Industry that no other MLM’s are in; suddenly copycat companies pop up with in a matter of weeks.

Even I have seen several ‘copy cat systems’ – that seem to be adapting some of the ideas that TopNetworkersGroup introduced to our MLM Industry; as the first 5th Wave Network Marketing Organization there will be several ideas that others will ‘copy’.

You have the choice – to work with a Copy; or to work with the Original.

Here’s my Thoughts, on Companies going out of business; specifically the closure of WakeUpNow; and how I feel my ‘talks’ have influenced a HUGE MLM Leader to shift his direction from Preaching ONE company; to ‘finally’ talking One team (that makes money in several companies) – that way – ‘just in case’ the new one doesn’t disrupt lives … they won’t all be left … in Shock; in a negative way that is … the shock will end up being that ‘safety net’ – at least that’s how it looks from here;

I’ve also mentioned, that I’ve seen other copy-cat ‘systems’ that mingle multiple programs together; but even these are failing to ‘truly’ teach people this skillset – Networking.

Network Marketing is an Artform.

The MLM Industry needs to be approached with respect – you must realize it is a career and will require a time investment; not just a Money investment.

If you are seriously interested in playing a role in creating stability within the MLM Industry, then you have to understand what that means – It means making a real decision to work together to Make our Industry a better place; for MORE people in MLM. So many people like what this industry offers but – too many ‘seeds’ are falling through the cracks.

The MLM Industry needs an organization like ours; that will actually Challenge people to approach ‘teamwork’ – in a similar way as Professional Sports teams; Real communities where people are learning skills; not just hearing hype – or hearing about how 15 people are making tons of money – sure that might get folks to sign up; but it does not help them duplicate those results;

So, be ready to invest more than just ‘money’ – if you want to make money; and if you want to bring stability TO our industry; you have to actually be willing to do some things that won’t generate money; for a while – because ‘eventually’ those things WILL generate more money than you could imagine – Teamwork Makes the Dreamwork – Absolutely – 100% of the time!

Some Things Should Require Hard Work

I came across a great article on Why Some Things Should be Hard. It literally was confirmation for me. Hard work makes us better. It makes us do and become more to achieve the task that is required. Hard Work takes you from the level you’re at now, to the level you dream to be on.

If our goal at TopNetworkersGroup is to create professional network marketers – then it’s important that we stress the hard work required to become one.

So let’s talk about Why Hard Work Makes you Better –

Ever since rolling out the One MLM System I have been wondering if it’s just too much. Is it too much to have people sign up for multiple programs? Is it too much to have people watch So many Videos; during the sign up process; and even after they are inside?

I can even think back to a disloyal person who signed up for the One MLM System over a year ago, but decided to ‘focus’ on Visalus. We talked and one of the things he mentioned to me was, there was just too much to do.

Personally, I Don’t think it’s a lot to do however, I Don’t think the same way as others. There are a lot of lazy people in our society today. People want things easy.

Most do not want to put in Hard work. In fact, in several of my training videos I have defined Hard Work for people; because I don’t believe most people really know what it is. To me – it’s all about doing what is hard, instead of what is easy.

The article I came across seemed to tap right into my mind and pull out the thoughts I have been searching for. It’s like a video game.

Did you play video games growing up like I did?

Perhaps you STILL Play video games … if you do, then you should be able to relate to this question. Do you really enjoy games that are too easy?

Or don’t you prefer the games that offer up an actual challenge?

I played a lot of Doom growing up; for those who don’t know about it, it started out as a PC Game. It was always a lot of hard work making it from level to level. The game is near impossible to beat, without cheating. The came did have cheat codes though. When I ran into them I was so excited because I could finally get past a few levels that were just ‘too hard’ for me to defeat.

But, then the game became Too easy.

Since I had been to the end of the game; I decided to test myself to see if I could make it without the cheat codes. From time to time I’d be tempted to throw a cheat code on for a few; recover and then I’d take it back off again. The challenge made the game more fun.

Registering for the 1mlmsystem is no where near hard work.

But, people have a habit of making things so much harder than they really need to be. So, part of what just happened tonight is a feeling of relief. I felt like I was doing the right thing – My goal has always been to create professional network marketers. To do this, requires people get educated. It requires people follow simple steps that anyone else can do.

It also requires a sense of teamwork

Professional network marketers are not like amateurs – Amateurs have no loyalty. There has never been a Millionaire or Billionaire in the history of mankind, who lacked loyalty. So if a person cannot sign up for my system, and then reach out and send me an email to ask for help, is that a professional?

If a person cannot complete the sign up process, and won’t sign up for FREE affiliate programs that will not cost them a dime – Do they have any loyalty?

The system is perfect.

the one mlm system to rule them all

It tests your loyalty to the person that referred you. It asks you to contact your sponsor. So far does any of that sound like Hard work?  The system asks you to sign up for free programs – Considering how much Stuff you’ve signed up for in the past 3 years; Does it sound like Hard Work to sign up for Free programs?

Next, the system asks you to Watch Training Videos. These videos talk about important topics in network marketing. Such as, making a list, and more importantly how to approach the people on that list. The videos tell you how to get a person in front of a presentation. The videos talk about what to do after a person sees a presentation.

All you have to do is watch, and apply what the videos teach.

Does that sound like Hard Work?

Here’s the key though…  we want to you do those things, WHILE involving your sponsor. Talk to them about the ‘work’ you are doing. Is that hard?

Well apparently it was for many people. But when I look at what they are doing in MLM Today – I see many are NOT in MLM today; or doing the same things they were before they signed up. They are struggling.

Aren’t you tired of struggling in MLM?

Amateurs Struggle. Professionals Know what they are doing. That’s the purpose of our system. To teach you what to do. To give you programs to do it with. Then we want you to make money and reinvest. We want you to use our Ten Dollar level; to make more money and then reinvest. We want you to use our Fifty Dollar Level; to make even more money; and reinvest. More importantly, by doing what we’re suggesting, you will avoid the unfortunate fate of so many people who just lost their entire income – with the closing of wakeUpnow – and so many other MLM companies.

Because any business will go out of business.

What we are suggesting is not Hard work; but it’s going to require you to pay attention. It’s going to require you to invest some time on the learning side. It’s going to require you communicating with your sponsor; your upline; Using our live office; working ‘as a team’ – and if you do these things; you will become a Master.

You will be a Professional.

That’s why the system is set up the way it is.

It had to be set up this way.

To make you, what we need you to be.

A Professional.

Teamwork Makes The Dream work In All Areas of Life, Sports and Business

Teamwork Makes The Dream work In All Areas of Life, especially Sports and Business –

The first lesson in sales that all of us learn is everyone is tuned in to WIIFM;

What’s In it For Me?

Our Challenge is finding the people who can see What’s In it for WE …

We live in a society that promotes ‘the individual’ and individuality is the root of Ego. It’s about Me, Me, Me – it’s the “no I in Team, but I in Win” mentality.

But this is Fantasy!

The reality; what wins Championships – in all areas of life, especially sports and business – is Tenacious D!! Team Defense!

It’s One Unit Mentality that achieves success.

It’s teamwork.

This is what I love about the network marketing industry; because the blueprint to success has already been laid out by so many people who have built teams and accomplished incredible financial fortunes along the way. In this industry you are either Building the team or you are building your team ‘within a team’. I think it’s easy to forget that most people who come into this industry and even several of the people who sign up, come from ‘a matrix for their minds’. Most people come from a society that promotes the individual; meanwhile what we ignore is the reality.

No man is an Island.

There is no such thing as the ‘self made man or woman’.

These are myths that people tell themselves; often to feed their ego…. because the ego NEEDS to be fed.

But; the reality – the truth that shall set you free is this; Teamwork makes the dream work. What dream do you have? What team do you have?

Back in January I put together a video where I talked about the importance of “having the right people” on your team. In this video I discuss the reality of star players like Kobe Bryant and Lebron James, who need team mates to help them win. As great and as dynamic as these players are, none of them, not even the great Michael Jordan himself, were able to win without getting help from others. However, “the others” didn’t all have to be superstars.

Yes, Kobe had Shaq, and later needed Pau.

Yes, Lebron needed Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh.

Yes, Michael Jordan needed Scottie Pippin.

But the other ‘role players’ were just as important as the superstar role players. Because in all of these situations, someone is playing a role. Even between the superstars, there is a leader and a follower. That’s what makes a successful business parntership; that is what makes a successful sports teamwork partnership – because Two Leaders Cannot Lead Each Other. This is what broke up the Kobe/Shaq Lakers. This is what would’ve doomed the Lebron, Dwanye Wade Heat – but Dwayne doesn’t have the same kind of alpha male personality as a Lebron James; or even a Kobe Bryant.

This speaks volumes to the importance of chemistry.

Sometimes its just not in the cards for two people to work together within the same space – or the same team.

You see with Kobe and Shaq, you had two alpha males and honestly, I feel Kobe was willing to follow Shaq, however Kobe constantly challenged that leadership in ways that annoyed Shaq’s Ego. So for example, Kobe would take the ball to the rack or shoot a jumper rather than run the offense and allow the ball to go into Shaquille. However what you could tell is, Kobe just wanted to get a win, for the team. Perhaps people did not understand this within the moments that it unfolded, but now that we look back over his career and see times when Kobe could’ve left the Lakers; you see a person who really and truly wanted (and seemingly still wants) to bring championships to the Franchise.

With Shaquille – we see a man who was mostly about himself.

He cared more about ‘being the man’, than about ‘being a champion’ – He wanted to give orders; and demand the ball but, refused to work on his free throws so that IF/when teams fouled him after getting the ball, it wouldn’t turn into a wasted possession. The casual fan in the stands is not thinking of this because the casual fan is also, poisoned with the message of ‘be an individual’.

So they bark of his dominance while ignoring how much MORE dominant he would’ve been as a 70% freethrow shooter, instead of what he was over the course of his career.

That’s all Phil Jackson tried to do with Shaq; get him to be more than he was settling for.

I think that’s all Kobe was trying to do as well.

But, Kobe was doing it for the team. He was set on blossoming and being more.

He wanted to grow and expand his game.

He wanted to lead a team to victory and eventually He got that opportunity.

When we look at a Dwayne Wade; he’s a great player, but has never been to a championship without another dominant alpha male type personality.

This is a major aspect of what it means, for teamwork to make the dream work.

Often we are like pieces to a puzzle; often we are incomplete. Often those of us in business can look to sports to see all the answers to what is going on in our own organizations. We can see that we may need more, or less alpha males. We can see that we need more or less role players. We see the lack of chemistry or begin to notice how chemistry is playing a major role in the production – because that is the reality.

Teamwork makes the dream work in business;  just like in sports.

When Lebron first came to Miami, out of respect for Dwayne Wade he didn’t wanna just take over right away. But, the two of them had a conversation after that first trip to the finals. Wade pretty much gave the reigns to Lebron; told him to do what he does best. That conversation took them to the finals 3 more years in a row; winning 2 of them.

Road to Success

When I first saw this image of ‘what most people think success looks like vs what successful people know the road to success IS like” – I thought of everything I just shared with you. This is that road to success and all those “Fail” spots are the times when we went off on our own; and tried to accomplish big things alone.  We start to get closer to the end of that road, once we finally connect with the right people.

Along the way, together, there will still be a few more ‘spots’ where we find out that not ALL of the people on the team; were meant to stay on the team forever; You’ll lose a few key role players perhaps; and you’ll stall out while you look to replace them – but so long as the core keeps moving together toward the goal; You will reach that goal.

The desire alone, is not enough.

The circumstances absolutely must come together.

A team must be built – OR you must attach yourself to a team that is being built, and play a position – a position which COULD be worth millions to you, simply by doing your part.

You may not be the star of the team – but everyone on the team gets a Ring.

Everyone on the Team gets to call themselves, A Champion!

Teamwork makes the dream work – in all areas of life – whatever you are seeking to achieve; as soon as you have the right people – who all want the same things; That Goal WILL be accomplished.

Maybe it’s You, and Not Crazygood

*Update 2/25/2015 ::: Crazygood Went out of Business – and you can read MUCH more about it in this article, which discusses how We ended up Replacing Crazygood with GDI in our One MLM System — This article includes our official video with thoughts on why CG was unable to make it past 3 years in business. Also – educate yourself about business – and understand that it’s rare for ANY Business to make it past 5 years in business; even fewer make it past 10. Our alignment with GDI, is a great move for us all.

The One MLM System To Rule Them All

Crazygood is an Awesome Opportunity………  If you’re not having success with it, then perhaps it’s you and Not Crazygood?

Where else on the Wide World Web can YOU find a $10/mo Opportunity that pays you and I $1 per referral, per month, through 5 levels ….

Other than GDI – there are NO Other ‘opportunities’ like that On the internet today.

Now, there are several $10 business opportunities; but NONE pay out as much as this one does; That makes this something special.

But if YOU Don’t Know that …. how will the people YOU are talking to?

If you’re running up to people telling them about Crazygood, and you’re not saying the right things in that conversation to Sign people up; then perhaps What you’re saying is wrong?

Have you thought about that?

Unless you already have people that will follow you into anything you are doing, you Must embrace the approaches of Network Marketing that have worked for decades…

Such as…

#1 – Getting Yourself Out of The Way!

Most people in Network Marketing talk too much…. its true. Lots of people join because they see a way for Other people to listen to them talk.

Some people actually LIKE the sound of their own voice so much, it motivates them to join MLM opportunities; the problem with these people is, they never LISTEN and/or LEARN what they should be talking about; because they are too busy talking….

One of the KEYS to getting yourself out of the way is … Knowing how and when to SHUT UP!

Most of the Top Money earners are GREAT at Shutting up, at the right time – they know when to talk; they know when to shut up; and if you’re struggling to sponsor people into a $10 opportunity, this is the first place you should examine yourself…

Are you talking too much?

Do you need to shut up?

Here are some examples to help you decide………

You approach someone that you know, ask them if they’d like to make money online with you, and then…. what do you do?

Do you wait for them to answer you?

Or do you SHOVE a LINK In their face/inbox/email —-without ever giving them a chance to Respond to your question?

Or perhaps they answer you and say “Sure, I’d like to make money, doing what?” … and then YOU think that is YOUR moment to Talk, so you explain every detail and aspect of crazygood; leaving out all the things they really need to hear; and Never once send them to a Website to view a presentation, NOR do you think of Edifying a business partner to talk to THEM on your behalf — all because you’re too busy Talking and Yapping away.

Your prospect decides this isn’t for them — and you can’t figure out why.

Did the person that sponsored YOU explain the business?

Or, did they Shut up, and Show you the business?

If they’re GOOD at this, they shut up and Showed you the business; so that YOU could see the business and decide for yourself if YOU wanted in the business. That’s what you need to learn how to do; You’ve gotta stop giving presentations before the presentations; you’ll get your chances to shine, you’ll get your chances to talk, you’ll eventually get crowds coming to see you … once you learn how to shut up, and show the business.

#2 Edifying and Using Team Partners

Network Marketing is a Team Sport; Too many individuals are joining the industry today; and here is why – the ability to conduct online credit card transactions has made it so much easier for anyone to join any company; at any time…

So people join every single day, who have not been brought through the process properly – and when the process is shown to them, they immediately judge it as too hard, too difficult, too time consuming, or some other ‘too’ – all because they were not introduced properly.

One of the most tragic aspects of this New Age in MLM where anyone can join, is the lost art of Edification…

People joining our industry are bringing the nonsense they got from Corporate America into our wonderful industry; such as backstabbing, stealing, talking bad about others — none of that has a place in Network Marketing ‘done right’ — and it’s a Major reason why people are struggling to succeed.

Edification is a Major Skill we all must have, and use if we expect to get results; Especially with Crazygood. If you just joined today, there are people who have been around longer than you; you need to respect these people — that’s where most of this begins; if you do not respect others; You will not edify others.

IF you do not edify others; No one will ever edify you.

Did that last part make sense?

When we build up respect for our partners; They can build up respect for us; When people see people who are speaking highly of each other, they want to be part of that; See most of you keep making Crazygood ‘the deal’ – you don’t get it…

You really don’t get it!

Crazygood is just a Way to make money; but we Must learn how to work ‘together’ if we are going to make Money together… the better we are at working together, the MORE money we are going to make together; but we must work together; not as individuals.

I’ve been on Crazygood for 2 years; and I have rarely done a 3way for anyone on my team; the few times that I have, I was not edified – and the people I was being asked to speak to, had No respect for me, or my opinion …

How do you think those calls went?

The point of Edifying others is to give our prospects a Reason to Listen – that’s mostly what they want to know  – “Who is your business partner and why should I listen to them?”

.. when YOU do your job properly, you tell your prospect Why they should listen  and like magic, most of your prospects will listen; and show respect while they listen…

When you get good at edifying your business partners, next you’ll learn how important it is to edify your team; to edify your calls; to edify your websites; your videos; This is a Lost Art and if We do not make this an Important part of what we do; we’re asking to fail!

#3 Using Events to Build …

This is our last  thing that I Must point out – the Importance of using Events to build your business. Events are ‘live’ conference calls, webinars, home meetings, or hotel meetings.

When we bring guests to an event and they hear 10 to 20 other people who are as excited about ‘something’ as you are; it builds more excitement for that guest as well.

We ran some experiments with our Crazygood Live Office; where myself and a business partner brought in close to 3,000 people that were ‘clicking to make money’ — We signed up 10-15 NEW business partners; simply because they saw PEOPLE in the room.  The live office shows you how many people are currently online; So people would drop in, see 1,000 people logged in, and the FIRST Thing they started to do was ask us “what is going on?”

When people see Other people doing something, They want to do it too.

Using, and building Events is the MOST important thing we do.

All top producers in any opportunity do this …

However in the past 2 years with crazygood; I’ve seen several leaders, including myself and our team, Hold Weekly Calls that people just didn’t show up for…

And you people want to make money??

You wonder why it’s not happening for you??

Showing up to events is part of it; Inviting guests to events is the other part.

OUR job, when working together, is to BUILD from “event to event” … It’s to use the proper language and approaches to invite guests to Events that will properly expose them to what we’re seeking to do … together; and the better we are at that; the more people will want to join ‘us’ …

So if there is a Live Call on Monday, a Webinar on Thursday, and a Live Meeting on Saturday …. YOU should take a guest to each event.

You shut up, get yourself out of the way, edify a business partner, allow them to help invite your guest to the Conference Call on Monday, where they will hear from leaders on the team; get excited; and then your business partner edifies YOU to your guest, so that you can be successful at inviting them to the live Webinar on Thursday; Because you put in work, your leaders may recognize you on the call, in front of everyone on the team – including your guest — and if they do not Join you after the Webinar, but are still excited – THEY will come to the LIVE event on Saturday; after the live event — If they don’t sign up; it’s probably just not for them — however — it has been proven over several decades that when we build in this manner, we increase the odds of sponsoring new people.

Chances are, YOU are not doing ANY Of these 3 things…

So see, while you are making excuses, OUR team is making money.

If you want to stop struggling with Crazygood, and START earning money, JOIN our team today @

*UPDATE 8/26/13 – Since Writing this post, a few changes have occurred with Crazygood. We have to Win as a Team

Sports and Business have so many parallels as, is illustrated by many quotes in an article written up about Game 4 of the NBA Finals, between the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers.

It’s a storied rivalry that drives the players in it to Perform – there is Pressure in both cities to WIN it all, especially against the other city’s team. Lakers Vs. Celtics = NBA :: this is what it’s all about really – as these two teams have the most Championships, and the most Appearances in the Finals – meanwhile, the Celtics have a 9-2 Record all time against the Lakers … which in a way, almost makes it a pretty One Sided Rivalry – adding even More Pressure to the Situation.

One of the star players for the Lakers, Lamar Odom, has created a reputation – over time – from habits formed that he’s now very use to; of Not stepping up when really, Really needed. As this article discusses, he’d rather Defer to other’s on the team, than Be All he’s capable of Being.

It’s one of the most frustrating things about Lamar : who is talented enough to basically BE Lebron James – yet…. he’s just Lamar Odom.

In Business, so many Talented people on a Team don’t step up and be MORE of what they could be, because … there are other talented people on the team too, and they’d rather just allow them to do all of the work, all the heavy lifting.

What makes Great companies great, is when they have the rare fortune of assembling a group of Talented people who All strive to be the VERY BEST They can be, in all situations, as often as they can :: When you get a ‘culture’ of people who Push and Strive for it – who Make things happen – who never give up — people who possess the spirit of Winners.

This is what many Laker fans of come to LOVE about Kobe Bryant; Clearly talented and yet, continues to push harder – to be even better – never satisfied – always improving; This motivates so many others with less talent to work Harder, and the results are, they contribute to the Winning their Teams do – in spite of not being, Kobe Bryant — one of the recent names that come to mind a fine example of this – Derrick Fisher : Who already had work ethic which got him drafted; but who’s commitment to continue striving towards excellent has put him in a position to knock down BIG – timely shots for the Lakers, helping in a big way in at least 4 Championships to this day.

“This is Lamar Odom in full. The personality that happily allows him to defer to others and at times makes him the ultimate third or fourth option is the same one that prevents him from assuming the pressure of stepping into an expanded set of responsibilities.

He’s always had the talent to be one of the elite players in the game. He just never had the desire to take the job.” – Dan Wetzel

I recently was shown an AWESOME video on Teamwork that illustrates all of the qualities that need to be in place for a Team to be successful :: If you admire the Airforce, and the men and women who Serve our Country, you will greatly Enjoy this Video.

It takes All of it.

Not Some of it….

Which is what many people Do in Business. I know first hand – I work with them all the time; and ya know, at some point I was like that as well :: we all are generally when we are NEW to this – and we don’t want to Step up and DO presentations for people. I didn’t have that problem though; I was willing to Present; Willing to Train ::: but I wasn’t always willing to go out and DO!

That’s big right?

If you want to make leader money, you gotta do more than teach it; you gotta do more than talk it – You’ve got to Walk it.

Lamar has Talent? Yea right … Show us.

That’s what the Laker fan has to say …….. That’s what your neighbor has to say when you share your Business :: and they don’t believe YOU will make any money in it; Why? They know you ………..

They know you quit everything you’ve ever started.

They know you’ve Never read a book about making MONEY in your life; and you don’t know if those ‘people’ with CEO’s Unlimited know what they are talking about … or Not.

And You’re not coming to Training, you’re not “practicing” – Or you show up but rarely take notes; don’t really pay attention, learn, or Change anything about your approach :: and you’re still saying WAY too much to people who now judge YOU instead of your OPPORTUNITY.

You’ve got to be Part of the Team.

In Business, in Network Marketing, you do not Represent You.

You Represent your Team….

You represent your Company – So you gotta do it Right; you gotta do it the way the Team has decided it needs to be Done; it’s not your Show – your time to be an Individual; Talent always rises to the Top.

You’ve got Talent? Yea right …. Show us.

Be ALL that you can be, while being PART of the Team – It’s not one or the other; It’s ALL of it :: it’s BOTH up to Lamar to Put it on his Shoulders, AND Up to the Team to put it on theirs too.

EVERYBODY has to do ALL of IT!

If you are to Win in Sports… Just like if you are to Win in Business – YOU need to WIN – as a TEAM.
